This is a full-day introductory course from 9 am to 6 pm dedicated to those looking to start a successful home-based business designing, baking and decorating cakes.

Important aspects of starting the business will be discussed. Topics covered :

-how to create a business plan, find a name/ logo 

-register your business/premises, open a bank account, find an accountant & the right business insurance

-implement health and hygiene requirements( food safety legislation )

-set up trade accounts with recommended suppliers to get the best prices for your tools, equipment, consumables,  ingredients

-find the best training supplier, a cake school to help you improve your baking, cake decorating & designing skills, to teach you how to make delicious & professional looking cakes and charge the right money for your work 

- learn how to deal confidently with your customers' requests.

-learn how to take great photos of your creations ( using a camera/ smartphone)

-create an impressive portfolio, print business cards

-build-up and optimize your online presence ( including how to make your own website, and create Google, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest business accounts)

- start taking & manage orders( fill order forms, take deposits, sort payments, use disclaimer forms, set delivery charges and many more)

-make your business profitable in no time. 

 This is an interactive course. You'll be given a booklet at the end with useful pieces of information summarizing what was discussed in the class, list of suppliers of equipment, tools, consumables, a list of top suppliers for ingredients, 10 basic cake recipes, projects of 20 popular cake designs ( for wedding, christening, birthday, anniversary).

We will break for lunch at 12.30 for 40 min also we will have 2 tea/ coffee breaks 10 min each ( mid-morning and afternoon).

Lunch will be provided along with tea, coffee, fresh fruits, water, crisps, cookies which will be available throughout the day.
