 This is a 1-day course perfect for those wanting to learn more advanced techniques in carving, shaping & building structured cakes, cook and make some  Isomalt decorations.

 This is a 1-day course perfect for those wanting to learn more advanced techniques in carving, shaping & building structured cakes, cook and make some  Isomalt decorations.

 The class will start with the theory of building the structure of this fish cake then will carry on with the carving part. Ready-made cakes plus rice crispies prepared in class will be used to shape the cake. The class will continue with fondant covering of the cake and board using By Bora sugar paste, airbrushing and modelling of all fondant decorations. The project will be completed, Isomalt will be cooked and all decorations added as per photo. 

The class does not include baking, cakes will be baked in our bakery beforehand.

 All you need for the class is included in the price. The number of students per class is limited to 4.

The course starts at 9 am and finishes at 5.30 pm we will stop for a  30 min lunch break @ midday.

FAQ

a. Is this class suitable for beginners?

Some basic knowledge about carving and fondant covering will be expected. Chef Ribana will guide you throughout the class sharing her knowledge, tips, and tricks to help you get a great result. Her promise is that at the end of this course you’ll be confident in recreating the design of the cake. 

 b. How many people will be in the class?

There is a maximum of  4 people per class.

c. What will be provided?

- Apron

- A detailed manual book containing the drawings &templates and recipes of all products used during the course.

- ACD Certificate of Attendance

- Refreshments

-  packaging to bring home your creation

d. Do I need to supply anything for the class?

No, all equipment needed, consumables & packaging will be provided.

 DRESSING CODE

 We will recommend you to wear a chef jacket but if you don’t have one a light coloured long sleeved top will be also acceptable.

 Refreshments( tea, coffee, water, biscuits)  will be available through the day for free. Lunch is not included so you'll need to make your own arrangements. Few take away shops are position 5 min walking distance.

Free parking available on the back of the school.
