This is a 1-day course perfect for those wanting to learn more advanced techniques in coloring, shaping & moulding chocolate.
We will start with some advanced chocolate theory then we will prepare colors, paint, shape, mould, spray to obtain the velvet effect, then decorate the cake as per photo.
The class does not include baking, we will work on a freshly made chocolate cake baked in our bakery, filled and prepared for decorating.
The course starts at 9 am and finish at 5.30 pm we will stop for a 30 min lunch break @ midday.
a. Is this class suitable for beginners?
Some basic knowledge about chocolate will be expected. Chef Ribana will guide you throughout the class sharing her knowledge, tips, and tricks to help you get a superb gloss, taste and finish on your chocolates. Her promise is that at the end of this course you’ll be confident in recreating the design of the cake.
b. How many people will be in the class?
There is a maximum of 4 people per class.
c. What will be provided?
- Detailed recipe book
- ACD Certificate of Attendance
- packaging to take home your creation
d. Do I need to supply anything for the class?
No, all equipment needed, consumables & packaging will be provided.
Please wear closed-toe shoes. We will recommend you to wear a chef jacket but if you don’t have one a light colored long sleeved top will be also acceptable.
Refreshments( tea, coffee, water, biscuits) will be available through the day for free. Lunch is not included so you'll need to make your own arrangements. Few take away shops are position 5 min walking distance.
