This is a 3 days intensive and comprehensive introductory course perfect for those wanting to learn a wide range of chocolate skills. Firstly, you’ll get familiar with important aspects of chocolate, cocoa mass and cocoa butter, get guidance on the equipment needed to perform further chocolate work efficiently. Then you’ll approach the art of tempering, learning how to temper chocolate using both traditional and modern techniques. You’ll learn skills essentials in the industry: color chocolate & cocoa butter, paint & spray, mold chocolate into novelty shapes, use transfer sheets, make chocolate decorations( basic flowers, spheres, bows  & piped lace pieces ), fillings based on chocolate( ganache & mousse).

The course starts at 9 am and finish at 4.30 pm daily, and stops for a  30 min lunch break @ midday.

During the course, you’ll create colored molded chocolates, hand made chocolate pralines, truffles, garnishes, ganaches, mousses, and much more!

a. Is this class suitable for beginners?

Yes, the class is suitable for all levels of experience students and our teacher Ribana will guide you throughout the class. Her promise is that at the end of this course you’ll be confident in working with chocolate and you’ll be able to create beautiful delicious chocolate bars, truffles, garnishes, fillings successfully.

Can The ABC of chocolate course qualify me for the next course? attending the Level 1 Chocolate course (pralines & bars)?

Yes, after completing The ABC of Chocolate, you will have the necessary training to go into a more complex class  Level 1 Chocolate course.

b. How many people will be in the class?

There is a maximum of  4 people per class.

c. What will be provided?

- Apron

- Detailed recipe book

- ACD Certificate of Attendance

- Refreshments

- “Artisan chocolaterie” packaging to bring home your creations.

d.Do I need to supply anything for the class?

No, all equipment needed, consumables & packaging will be provided.

 DRESSING CODE

Please wear closed-toe shoes. We will recommend you to wear a chef jacket but if you don’t have one a light colored long sleeved top will be also acceptable.

 Refreshments( tea, coffee, water, biscuits)  will be available through the day for free. Lunch is not included so you'll need to make your own arrangements. Few take away shops are position 5 min walking distance.

Free parking available on the back of the school.
