COURSE TITLE PAINTING ON BUTTERCREAM
TRAINING PROVIDER ACADEMY of CAKE DECORATING
INSTRUCTOR RIBANA CRISTESCU

Course description

Option 1 of the course is a 1-day class (9am-6pm) perfect for those wanting to learn more advanced techniques in painting, buttercream, ganache work, also want to improve the skills of making sugar flowers and isomalt decorations(as per photo).

The advantage of covering the cake with this method is that the cream will not come off on your hands while painting you'll be able to work 3-4 hours at the room temperature without the worry of having the side of the cake melting.

Once covered, the cake will be safe to touch and will be suitable for painting using water-based colors.

We will start by making the sugar flowers, isomalt decorations will continue preparing the buttercream/ ganache, cover cream and then will coat the cake, paint and decorate.

The class does not include baking, we will work on a freshly made vanilla sponge cake baked in our bakery, filled and prepared for covering.

The course starts at 9 am and finish at 6 pm we will stop for a 30 min lunch break @ midday.

Option 2 only covers the preparation of creams, cake covering and painting. It starts at 1 pm and finishes at 5.45 pm. No sugar flowers or Isomalt decorations will be used on this option.
