Piping is such a beautiful skill! 

Easy techniques can be used to decorate cakes suitable for any occasion. From a very basically decorated cake for a family lunch to an intricate competition cake it is so much you can do once you learn how to pipe correctly!

This ALL-INCLUSIVE course is suitable for beginners and intermediate level students. As a beginner, you have to be prepared for an intensive 8hr per day course. The material in preparation for the theory part will be sent to you a week before the date of the course. This should help you understand how to prepare, store, color, and work in all the relevant mediums. Throughout the course, we will be discussing business aspects, demonstrate and practice new skills.

Intermediate level students will also learn new skills. They will have the chance to improve the existing ones and get guidance for an advance finishing of the projects.

 Students will learn essential techniques : 

-preparing royal icing, ganache, and buttercream/ frosting,
-coating cakes with marzipan, royal icing, ganache, buttercream
-using templates, piping scroll borders, flowers, creating run out decorations, collars & extension work, string work, borders, brush embroidery, lace designs, run out motifs,
-flooding and painting on cookies
-piping flowers on cupcakes
-cake balance, setting multi-tiered cakes,
-pricing piped cakes 
-packaging, transport & delivery costs, pricing guidelines, assembly & presentation at the venue.
You'll cover and decorate 3 round cakes, one dummy cake and 2 rich fruit cakes( a 3 tiered cake) using marzipan and royal icing, 1 square/ rectangular real cake using chocolate ganache,  6 cupcakes using buttercream, 2 cookies using royal icing.
The price you pay covers the tuition fees( 25 hours in class tuition), the newest student kit  & book, printed templates & recipes for royal icing, ganache, frosting/ buttercream,  dummy, real cakes, cupcakes, cookies, consumables, packaging.
 On successful completion of the module, you'll be getting a PME royal icing & buttercream piping certificate and the Academy's of cake decorating Diploma Certificate.
Students will work with rich fruit cakes (to be consumed within 10 months), chocolate cake (to be consumed within 3 days) and freshly baked cupcakes & cookies (to be consumed within 1 week).
This is a 3 consecutive days course which starts daily at  9 am and finishes at 6 pm. Access to the school is permitted from 8.50 am.

A maximum number of 2 students per course.
At the end of the course, you'll take home your student kit, book, printed templates & recipes and all cakes, boards, decorations you will make during the course and most importantly the KNOWLEDGE & CONFIDENCE, lots of tips and tricks for you to use in further successful projects.

Light refreshments: tea, coffee, water, biscuits, crisps, fruits) will be available for free throughout the course. We break for a 30 min lunch break from 12.30-1 pm. Lunch is not provided so you need to make your own arrangments.
