Course description
During this one-day in-class course, students will learn how to cover a 3-tiered cake (8",6", and 4" round dummy cakes 5" tall) with fondant to stack and decorate using a sugar bows made in class.
The course will start at 9 am, demonstrating how to make the bows, fabric effect( frills, sugar drapes and broch), and cover the board.
Your instructor will explain how to make and colour a floral paste, condition it, and store it safely. What cutters and consumables to use to get the best results
Students will have to replicate and create their elements, being guided and helped throughout the entire process by the instructor.
The second session of the day will start with a demonstration on how to cover, get the straight edge effect and stack the 3 tiered dummy cake using 3 different methods of covering with fondants ( a different type of fondant will be used for each tier covered).
Also, how to make your fondant, how to colour, store, gain a marble effect and emboss.
Students must cover and stack their cakes following the instructor's guidance.
Students will take home all their creations at the end of this intensive one-day class. D
This is an ALL-INCLUSIVE class, which means all you need for the course( equipment, consumables and packaging) will be provided.
Refreshments ( coffee, water, tea, fruits, biscuits) will be free throughout the day; lunch will not be provided.
