During this ALL-INCLUSIVE in-class course, students will learn how to:


  • prepare royal icing, ganache, mousse and buttercream/ frosting for filling and piping,
  • coat cakes with marzipan, royal icing, ganache, buttercream
  • pipe scroll borders, flowers, creating run-out decorations, collars & extension work, string work, borders, brush embroidery, lace designs, run-out motifs
  • flood and paint on cookies, dripping effect on cakes
  • pipe flowers and figures on cupcakes
  • Balance a cake, set multi-tiered cakes,
  • price piped cakes   
  • Pack, transport, and deliver the cakes, including the costs involved, pricing guidelines, assembly, and presentation at the venue.

During the course, we will practically:

  1. Decorate a 3-tiered cake see photo 1 ( cake dummies ready covered in fondant)
  2. Flood and decorate three cookies see photo 2(royal icing)
  3. make and decorate 2 cake pops( candy melts)see photo 2
  4. Make two chocolate flowers. See photo 2
  5. Cover and decorate one edged real cake and one round, 4"( using chocolate ganache/ mousse/ drips). See photo 4
  6.  learn how to make & decorate/ pack a floral cupcake bouquet( 7 cupcakes) with buttercream see photo 3

All you need for the course is going to be provided.
Easy techniques can be used to decorate cakes suitable for any occasion. From a very basically decorated cake for a family lunch to an intricate competition cake, there is so much you can do once you learn how to pipe correctly!
This course is suitable for beginners and intermediate-level students.
 As a beginner, you must be prepared for an intensive 8-hour-per-day course.
The price you pay covers the tuition fee( 25 hours in class tuition), the newest PME student kit and book ( see photo 5 ), printable templates and instructions, consumables, and packaging. 
This is a three-day course that starts daily at  9.30 am and finishes at 5.30 pm. Access to the school is permitted from 9.20 am.
We can confidently say our three-day intensive course is second to none and the best choice for those looking to learn the secret of beautiful piping. 
A maximum number of 4 students per course. 
Upon completing the module, you'll get a PME royal icing & buttercream piping diploma and the Academy's  Diploma Certificate.
At the end of the course, you'll take home your student kit, book, all cakes ( real and dummies) and decorations you will make during the course, and most importantly, the KNOWLEDGE & CONFIDENCE, along with lots of tips and tricks for you to use in further successful projects.

Light refreshments: tea, coffee, water, biscuits, crisps, fruits) will be available for free throughout the course. We break for a 30-minute lunch break from 1 p.m. Lunch is not provided, so you must make arrangements.
